Term 2 Week 5

This week is Samoan Language Week. This year's theme for Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa - Samoa Language Week 2021, is Poupou le lotoifale. Ola manuia le anofale which means strengthen the posts of your house, for all to thrive.

When you're building a foundation for a fale (house) it can't have a weak foundation or posts. This is the same for the foundations of our families, schools and churches that play an important role in strengthening Gagana Samoa (the Samoan Language). Language is important for the foundations of our over-all well-being.

Here are some youtube links to hear and learn the song, 'Le Aute'

Perseverance Assembly

Kakano 2 and 3 led an assembly about perseverance.

We had a lot of fun and did a great job. We really loved watching everyone try our bim bum biddy song - it took a lot of perseverance to learn. A few kids deserve extra special mentions. Keely, Thomas, Hayden and Zoe jumped in at the last minute to cover part for people who were away. You were amazing and so cool, calm and collected. You really are good at staying in the green!

Unfortunately, Mrs Ts camera did not play nicely so we missed quite a few shots but we took some memory shots after the assembly. These kids are so funny - you can see so much personality! The real action photos at the bottom were taken by Mrs Ts trusty assistant, Tirama. Thanks Tirama! Miss Ryan also managed to grab a video of our bim bum biddy song - we'll post that soon!

Thank you to the family and friends who came to support us on Friday. We have another assembly this Friday! Everyone gets another opportunity to see us shine.

Play and Golden Time Fun

What a great time we've had this week playing in the morning. We are loving building things with lego, playing snakes and ladders, and kicking the balls around outside.

For Golden Time we played balloon tennis. The giggles and screams of delight were plentiful. What a fun way to practice our hand/eye coordination skills and get some exercise (lots of us got really sweaty) without even realising it!

The noise was much louder as the fun continued!

Term 4 Week 9 - Last week of the school year

This is our last few days together in Kakano 1-3. We have lots going on this week. It has been a sheer pleasure teaching your little cherubs...
